On the occasion of International Women’s Day, 8th March (morning), JITO Ladies Wing Ahilyanagar
organized a meaningful “Drive with Purpose – Health Awareness Car Rally” aimed at spreading
awareness about Thalassemia prevention and Cancer screening. Around 25 cars enthusiastically
participated in the rally, displaying impactful posters and messages related to health awareness. The
rally passed through key areas of the city, effectively reaching out to the public and spreading the
message of preventive healthcare and early diagnosis.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of esteemed medical experts Dr. Prakash Garud, an
accomplished oncology surgeon formerly associated with Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and
currently leading Garud Cancer Hospital, along with Dr. Tejashree Junagade (Ara Breast Clinic), a
renowned breast cancer specialist. They shared valuable insights on the importance of early detection,
self-examination, regular health check-ups, and awareness regarding Thalassemia, emphasizing how
preventive measures can significantly save lives. The event also received special support from Mrs.
Poonam Gundecha of Naman Diagnostics.
The program was graced by the presence of JITO International Core Committee Member Gautamji
Munot and JITO Apex Matrimony Core Committee Member Meghna Ji Munot. From the Chapter
leadership, Chairman Alokji Munot, Vice Chairman Amitji Pokharna, and Chief Secretary Tusharji
Karnawat were present along with other Board of Directors Representing the Ladies Wing, Vice
Chairperson Sonaliji Dungarwal, Chief Secretary Anshuji Munot, Event Convener Pritamji Raka, and all
Ladies Wing members actively participated. The Youth Wing was represented by Chairman Chetanji
Bhandari & other Youth Wing BOD’ whose presence further strengthened the initiative.
A special highlight of the event was the official launch announcement of Navkar Diwas 2026, which was
unveiled by the esteemed guests and JITO dignitaries, marking the beginning of preparations for the
upcoming spiritual celebration.
The rally served as an inspiring initiative demonstrating how women’s leadership can drive meaningful
social impact. The event successfully spread awareness about critical health issues while encouraging
the community to adopt preventive healthcare practices.
